Surprise!!

I love waking up and seeing that Kate Spade has another surprise sale.  The good news, great markdowns.  The bad news, most of this will be sold out before noon!!

I love a cute clutch, for some reason I tend to use a clutch Friday and Saturday nights in the summer.  Maybe it's the heat and I don't want a strap hanging off me, maybe it's because I tend to have extra large purses and they just seem too big and heavy for the summer, maybe there is no reason at all, maybe as the husband says I just need some excuse to buy another purse....

the absolute cutest clutch ever....

I never get tired of the shoppers and their clever sayings....

I always have some jewelry pieces on hand in case I need an emergency birthday gift for a friend, or an emergency accessory dilemma for myself...

finally, this top is just too darn cute!!

Happy Shopping

Fall Staples

With the start of each season I always pick up a few pieces that I just know I will most likely wear to death.

These pants are amazing, they fit like a glove and like everything from lululemon they hold you in all the right places.  I have no intention of wearing these to the gym, these are my going out pants!!

I love leather somewhere in my fall outfits and I love peplum so this top was perfect.  They had this top paired with skinny white jeans in the store and thats when I knew I had to get it.  Since it is still pretty warm here in STL I feel like I can still pull off the white jeans, now come January not so much.

I stopped in Old Navy because they have THE BEST costumes for kids and I walked right past these 2 sweatshirts and they somehow ended up in my bag.  They are on sale for $10, what a steal!!

And finally I though this would be perfect for the upcoming holiday season and all the parties.  I hate when it is freezing outside so you need a coat, then when you walk into a party it is 100 degrees but now you have this thick and heavy coat...problem solved.

The website says this jacket is pre-order but if you must have it today check your store, this was in stock at mine

Mind the Gap

Over the weekend I had to run to the Gap to get some staples for my kids.  I was enticed to the adult side by the 30 % off everything.  I am glad I wandered over because I got some really cute pieces to add to my Fall wardrobe.

Navy and white geometric tunic.  Let me start by saying I love this tunic.  Sometimes tunics can be tricky, they are too long to be actually be a tunic and you end up looking frumpy, but way too short as a "dress" for someone like me who is 5'9.  I have also been on the hunt for a top to wear with my red minnies from JCrew and I knew this would be perfect.  Coincidentally this tunic also comes in a dress, check it out here with Natalie.

Black and white cozy wrap sweater.  I wore this Sunday when the hubs and I went out for coffee.  We sat at an outside restaurant and there was a little bite in the air, the sweater was perfect.  No lie, I was stopped by 2 different girls that walked by, both were surprised when I said it was from the Gap.

Polka dot sweater.  Every magazine, catalogue, website is showing polka dots for the fall.  This sweater comes in about 5 different color combos but this was the only one left in my size.  I am glad I ended up with this color, I am lacking camel for the fall.

The stretch skinny cord.  OK ladies these stretch cords are the bomb!!  Great fit, the waist is not too low that you either have 3 inches of underwear showing or have to go without (who wants that, yuck).  The material is super soft and they come in your traditional fall colors or bright pops of color.  Perfect with booties, boots, heels or flats.  I wish I bought more.

Best part of my shopping trip, when I checked out I got another 10% off because I have a Gap card.  I highly recommend a trip to your local Gap!

Street Style

Last week while all the designers were putting on their shows, all the New Yorkers were strutting the concrete catwalk.   There is definitely something about New York that makes you want to get dressed to the nines and work it!!  Here are a few of my favorite street style images...

a statement necklace...

layering the arm candy, peplum skirt, neon jacket...

color blocking...

camo...

a classic dress with the on trend top bun...

the perfect, classy example of how to wear a shirt, shorts and sneakers...

statement sweaters...

vibrant prints, the perfect draping of a top...

and my favorite image from NYFW March 2012....

I. Want. This. Coat!!!

Little Obsession

I came across this and again was instantly obsessed....

I just love the floral print with the pink jeans combo.  I found this on ZARA's website.  Hmmm there is no ZARA in STL but I will be in Chicago next week where there is ZARA a-plently.   This outfit is calling my name, "Jill, come buy me next week"

Cocktails Anyone?

I love when people post their OOTD, I have never done that because usually I am standing around in my robe, in my closet, trying to figure out what I am going to wear. I have a casual cocktail party on Friday night and I am ahead of the game, I think I know what I am wearing.....I usually don't have much luck at H & M, but about a month ago I saw this top in the window and knew I just couldn't pass it by. I have not worn it yet and I am thinking tomorrow might be the perfect night for its debut. This top is a light weight material, flowy, perfect for the Spring, and so cute on. I am wearing it with my Hue ankle length leggings, TB heels and Kate Spade clutch.

I'll take a dirty martini.

Flawless!!

I adore this picture of SJP. She is head to toe in Burberry and I think she looks like perfection!! I am a huge fan of the military inspired look for the fall, but at $1295 just for the jacket, this look can be a little pricey! After searching I found this cute little military jacket for a fraction of the cost.
I know, I know, it is nowhere near the fabulousness that is on Ms. Parker but a trend is a trend and most likely we won't be wearing military in 2011, so I can justify the $78 for this jacket. It really really needs to cool down so I can start wearing all these jackets and boots that are collecting dust in my closet!

Underneath it all

These, hands down, are the best panties of all time. There are some occasions that call for a thong, but on a day in and day out basis, the "On Gossamer Boy Shorts" simply are the best. These panties are practical yet you still feel sexy in them. No panty line, no pulling and creeping up in unwanted areas, and you can find them on sale at nordstrom.com

Today must be a slow day if I am blogging about underwear!
