Girl Friday

After months and months of trying, suddenly last Saturday, my 3 year old potty trained herself.  I might have bribed her with a sticker chart and my 9 year old, Libby, came up with the end prize for a full chart.  My Libby is pretty clever in the fact that the "prize" is also something she wanted, that girl knows how to work it!

So today at noon, Scarlett and I will pick up Libby from school and head down to our newest addition to STL...

Scarlett will get to choose her favorite doll...

then onto the cafe for a late lunch.  I remember taking Libby for the first time.  She was in heaven, I loved seeing the sparkle in her eyes!!

Saturday, we are going to nourish our inner Mexican at 2 parties.
It's not cinco de mayo without margaritas...

cerveza...

and some yummy food...

Have a beautiful weekend!

  1. Yay for Scarlett!! The weirdest thing. This week Keira "un-potty trained" herself. She wet her pants at least 4 times a day and one time peed on the floor right in front of me while eating an ice cream cone!! naughty

I have bribed her to get back on track with an American Girl Doll! Great minds think alike. ;-)

I can't wait to take her to the store and the cafe on Michigan Ave.

Have a great weekend! I have 2 parties on Sat. too. Fun times.

  2. Yay for being potty-trained!!! My younger two were both 3 before they potty-trained. It's SO nice when they finally are! Have fun this weekend!

  3. That is so cute you're taking Libby out of school early to see the AG store with Scarlett! I want to go at some point this summer once it calms down! I love that you take the kids out of school for fun stuff! You can only do it when they're young! My mom never pulled me out in grade school and she so regrets it now especially when I missed tons of school in high school and that's when it was expensive compared to parish grade school.

  4. I so dread potty training. I swear I want to keep in him in diapers as long as I can! Happy Cinco de Mayo! I will be enjoying some ritas as well!
