Instant Wine Cellar

Over the weekend, I helped host an "Instant Wine Cellar" party. This was a new party for everyone, and it turned out to be a big success and lots of fun. This is all leading up to my children's school auction. Here is how we worked the party....

Saturday night, my friend hosted a cocktail party at her house. Everyone who attended the party was asked to donate 1 bottle of wine valued at least $25.00. We had a great turnout and collected almost 100 bottles. Our course I had to donate my tried and true favorite....

The night of the auction in November, I will be selling wine corks. Each cork cost $25.00 and I will only be selling 100. Each cork will have a number on it, after dinner we will pull a number and if your number on the cork is the number I have drawn, you will win all 100 bottles of wine plus a wine rack to store your loot. This is such an easy and fun way to raise money for our school.

The one downside to running this, it might look a little suspicious if I win!!

  5. What a fabulous (and fun) idea! And everyone feels like they can be involved in the process but aren't just writing a check. It makes it more personal that each person can bring the bottle of their choosing. Love it!
