Scenes from my Weekend

It seems to me that weekends in the Fall are so busy, its non stop with all the activities especially for the kids.

Thursday we celebrated my youngest and furriest first birthday.

I am not going to lie, Thursday as I was running around town picking up a dog cake and a pinata I was wondering if I had lost my mind, but Luna seemed to love everything.

Friday night I had a little date with my mom and one of my sisters.  We had dinner at the new restaurant the just opened in the addition to our art museum.  The food was delicious and the view was even better.

After dinner we saw Evita.  I love this play and I love the music even more.  Eva Peron was the Princess Di of Argentina in the 40's. The difference between the two;  she was not so nice and unlike Di, her husband adored her...so much that he kept her preserved body in his dining room for 17 years after she died because he couldn't bear the thought of being away from her

Saturday while the hubs took the 2 older kids to their various activities, I took my 4 year old, Scarlett to a party at the zoo

and the animal she was most excited to see.....
the backyard butterfly, I kept asking "are you sure you don't want to see the hippos"  but nope, just the butterflies!

Saturday night we had some friends in from Chicago, we met up for dinner and drinks

and lots of laughs!!

Sunday I always like to regroup and get myself ready for the week, my favorite way to do that...
Now I am ready for the week!!

  1. I can't wait to meet Luna!! I have never seen Evita. I want to. I didn't know that about her body. How creepy... Maybe I should taxidermy Leroy? haha. Actually I've joked about that before!
