That was fast!

I really cannot believe that Easter is on Sunday. I have been so preoccupied with the party we threw last weekend, and Libby's first communion in a couple of weeks that I guess I overlooked Easter.

First up, I have got to finish up the Easter baskets. I really try not to fill the baskets with everything chocolate, instead I like to get books and toys.
When I was growing up my mother would spend weeks upon weeks picking out our Easter outfits. We (and I was 1 of 5) would all wear matching colors, the girls would have the hats, gloves and white straw handbags, and my dad and brother would have matching ties and ascots. Who has that kind of time these days?! I am hoping to find smocked dresses for my girls. I am loving this....
or this one!!

For Matthew, this is something that I had in mind.Unfortunately there is no time. I have to find something that is in stock. Keep your fingers crossed they will have this outfit!!

This is a possibility for me to wear. I bought this dress a couple of weeks ago when I saw it on the rack and swear I heard it whisper "buy me", at least I have something to wear. And wouldn't those Louboutins on my wish list be just perfect with this dress!!
Tonight, we will dye our eggs for the bunny to hide. (I must remember to go to the grocery store today)
This year we will be having Easter dinner at my parents house. I am bringing an appetizer and a side dish, pineapple casserole. I know, it does not sound too appetizing, but it is the perfect side dish with ham and it just so Springy.
Looks like I have my work cut out for me today!

  4. I saw the CUTEST smoked dress at Filene's basement for Keira but they didn't have her size. :-(

I ended up getting her a cute matching dress/pink trench coat. I can't wait to dress her up!

  5. Good luck on finding outfits for your adorable kiddos!! I love your dress! I REALLY hope you get those Louboutins!!!! I am having my family here at my house for Easter. I have decided not to cook. Between the episode yesterday and the never-ending mess that has become of baby's nursery, I have no energy!! I am taking your advice seriously!!! :)
Happy Easter to you and your family!!

  8. I am obsessed with smocked clothes for babies too! This year I am putting Sterling in a mongrammed jumper instead of smocked. I also like to fill his Easter basket with fun stuff and not all candy! Your rents will love the app!

  9. Sounds like a busy day.

The dresses you're loving for your girls are darling. The dress for you is pretty awesome, too!

I always fill my son's basket with things other than candy he loves - thank goodness he's not a big fan of it anyway.

Hope you have a great and productive day!
