Yesterday my hubby had lasik eye surgery so I had to spend the afternoon at the surgery center (or within close proximity) for when he was ready to come home.  Lucky for me there was a Kate Spade store close by, where I could pass the time.     A few of her things caught my eye, any would be the perfect addition to a Spring wardrobe....

Run Baby Run

Libby and I had such a great time at our race Saturday.  I was so proud of her, she ran the entire 3.2 miles.  Everyone got a medal for crossing the finish line..

Today I am signing up for The Color Run in August...

This is going to be such a fun race. This one is for the adults only, margaritas not medals when we cross the finish line!!

Check and see if a Color Run is coming to your city, I have heard they are a blast!!

An Affair with Hair...

The new season of The Bachelorette starts tonight and I am tuning in simply because I am obsessed with Emily's hair...

As soon as my salon opens today I am setting up my next appointment...

Girl Friday

St. Louis native, Andy Cohen will be in his, and my, town tonight promoting and signing his new book.  My friend and I will be front and center for sure...

Saturday morning, bright and early I am running a 3.2 mile race with my daughter.  There is a program at our school called "Girls on the Run." This program is all about teaching young girls healthy choices and staying active.  For the last 3 months these girls have been training for the big race Saturday...

we got our matching outfits so we are ready...

Saturday night my daughter also has a ballet recital..

afterwards as tradition, we go for a late dinner with the kids at a local restaurant which is known for having one of the best desserts in town, The World's Fair Eclair..

Sunday for Mother's day, I am indulging in a delicious brunch with my family...

and some time at the spa.

My son is making a mother's day dinner, he only knows how to make 1 thing...

Hits and Misses

The night of nights for fashion was May 7th at the Met Gala, or the fashion oscars.  This was a night of glitz, glamour and high fashion.  Some girls were an instant hit, while sadly some just missed the mark.

Diane Kruger, the belle of the ball.  This dress is amazing, I wish she would have done something feroish with her hair...

Camilla Belle, just got everything right from her hair, to her dress and her lips..

Bianca Brandolini D'Adda, love the cape (thanks Gwyneth) and the studs are gorgeous.  I love the simple black and white choice of Poppy Delevigne...

Every day I go to the gym and flip tires just to get Kate B's arms, and Solange is a knockout in her peplum dress

       

Of course we knew that Gwyneth would be a hit and I am dying over Chloe's Miu Miu frock...

Now on to some of the misses.  It kills me that SJP is on this list, but really....what was she thinking.  I am pretty sure the curtains from my childhood room are the same fabric.  That reminds me I should call my mom and see if someone broke in and stole those curtains...

Elizabeth Banks, Hunger Games is over...the odds were definitely not in your favor on Monday night..

Oxfords

I never gave much thought to the silver oxford until I saw one Miss Palermo sporting a pair and looking uber-stylish.   Of course now I am on the hunt for the perfect pair.  I read that her pair is from Zara, but sadly they are long gone.  Let the hunting begin...
