That's a Wrap

I sound like a broken record over here but another week has flown by.  The majority of my time was spent planning a big birthday party next weekend for one of my besties, so excited !!

Our day will begin with brunch at a spa

then onto a wine tasting

then back to the cottage I have rented about an hour outside of STL, in the heart of our wine country

where we have a chef coming from the birthday girl's favorite restaurant to make a meal for us

It is going to be a great party (and I am not just saying that because I planned it)

I did manage to do a few other things...

finally tried the flat white everyone has been talking about 

it definitely has a more milky less coffee taste

and I got tickets to this show...

EVERYBODY is saying how amazing this show is and I HAVE to see it, well ok then.

Summer's End

It may officially be summer for another month, but mentally I am transitioning into fall.  I am not completely ready to give up lazy summer mornings, afternoons at the pool, and evenings on my porch sipping cocktails but time marches on and fall is right around the corner.

A few things that I am looking forward to this fall

the return of the pumpkin spice latte

chunky sweaters

oversized plaid scarves

warm soup on a chilly night, cant wait to try this recipe

gorgeous fall flowers for my table

a trip to a few wineries in our own backyard

fall nail polish

getting my favorite red wine out of the cellar

and firing up our patio table.


Ready or not, it's coming!!

Making a list...

Now that Halloween is over and it is November, the holiday season is fast approaching.  Right about this time is when I start making a mental wish list so when my mom, sister or even hubby ask me what I want, I can tell them (sometimes even the SKU number) so I won't be disappointed on Christmas morning

The monogrammed necklace.  I swear I had one of these in high school, I just wish I knew where I put it

The Starbucks Verismo coffe, latte and espresso maker.  The hubs and I are completely addicted to Starbucks, we each easily have 2 per day so this is at the top of my list.  There are many early Saturday mornings where we have to row sham bow to see who has to do the coffee run, this would completely alleviate that issue, plus this has got to be cheaper than the $6/day I spend at Starbucks.

The Toms Desert Bootie, cute and most importantly buy one, give one.

The Jo Tote Camera bag.  I love that this camera bag is designed to look like a purse.  I am definitely thinking of items that I will need in Paris and I can not think of better way to tote my camera around the city of lights, plus the photography class I took yesterday has me really excited to use my camera.

I can never have to many lululemon jackets,

and it appears that Nike has jumped on the bandwagon too, look how cute these new jackets are.

My mind has been preoccupied with quite a few things lately.

Like salted caramel....

Specifically as in a salted caramel mocha latte from Starbucks....

Finding the perfect pair of leather pants that won't break the bank...

After watching my favorite NYC housewife in the fingerless driving gloves

all over the city....

I now want a pair of fabulous gloves...

The best smelling candle for the fall, hands down...

I am not much of a DIY person (yet) but something tells me that I can make this for a lot cheaper than the $130 Bloom Theory will charge you if this is on your wish list...

I mean, I absolutely need this (or my version) for Paris!!

Perfect Fall Finds

The temperatures this weekend are going to be in the high 70's, so excited!  After a hot summer I am definitely ready for some cooler weather and warmer clothes.  This upcoming weekend is our annual outdoor art fair and I am ready to dress up in my favorite fall pieces.

I am still very much in love with the cranberry colored jeans, and lucky for me they are easy to find.  I saw the cutest pair in the window at Express.  I have not stepped foot in this store in ages but I just had to, I thought the jeans were perfect and exactly what I was looking for... 

I found what I think to be the perfect taupe/cream top to compliment cranberry jeans.  

Gotta warp it all up in a cozy sweater.  Mine is on it's way...

Maybe I can break in my new boots...

Saturday mornings the hubs and I like to go out for brunch and coffee sans kiddos.  Pumpkin pie french toast would be the brunch to end all brunches!

Of course the pumpkin spice latte made it's debut this week.  Perfect for sipping as I stroll through the art fair...

It has finally warmed up here in STL. Time for my afternoon, warm weather, Starbucks treat....Shaken Passion Tea Lemonade!

I always ask for "unsweetened shaken passion tea with 1 shot of lemonade" it's ALMOST calorie free!
