Sweet Tooth

We've had an abundance of these in our house.....I got out my favorite apron....
made my favorite apple pie....

and topped it with my favorite ice cream....
Caramel Apple Pie
2 ready made pie crusts (I mean, who has that kind of time to make them from scratch)
8 apples, cored and sliced (I like gala or red delicious)
1/4 c sugar
2 T flour
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t salt
2 T butter, melted
1/3 c dark corn syrup
1/4 c brown sugar
2 T flour
2 T butter, melted
1/4 c dark corn syrup
1/4 c chopped walnuts
Arrange apples in a pastry lined 9 inch pie plate. Combine sugar, 2T flour, cinnamon, salt 2 T butter and 1/3 c corn syrup; pour over apples. adjust top crust on top of apples, cutting slits for steam to escape. Bake in a preheated over at 425 degrees for 40 minutes, or until crust os browned. Cover rim of crust with foil if it browns too rapidly. Remove from oven. Combine brown sugar, 2 T flour, 2 T butter and 1/4 c corn syrup. Spread over pie and sprinkle with nuts. Return to the oven for another 5 minutes.

  1. YUM! Will you please come bake some for me at school?! Haha hope you're having a great week!

  2. I was too lazy to make a pie this year so I bought one instead. I did make apple crisp, though. I think I need to go out and buy some of that ice cream. I just finished my pumpkin pie blizzard. So good!

  3. Sounds yummy! I'll be right over for some leftovers. :-)

  4. That apron is adorable! And LOVE the idea of caramel apple pie with PUMPKIN ice cream! YUMMMM!!!

  5. I think I would cool A LOT more if I had an apron like that! Too cute!
