I had an interesting conversation with my sister in law over the holidays when we were in Mexico. She has 4 girls and her oldest, the twins, are juniors in high school, my sister in law was feeling down one day because she knows her days with her girls are numbered. In a year and a half they are off to college, and that is a game changer. I have a long time before my kids are off to college, but anyone who is a parent knows that once you have a child time is fleeting. So for 2012 I am going to make every day count....Happy 2012!!

Resolutions
I decided to wait until the end of January to blog about my resolution so I would know if it would stick. I was very good in 2011 and really stuck to my resolutions, but to be quite honest they were not earth shattering or that hard to accomplish. I like the simple attitude of "new year, new start."

That's a great resolution and I love this photo of you with your munchkins!
ReplyDeletePerfect resolution! I am trying to sit down more and enjoy time with Sterling instead of always cooking and cleaning (or watching reality tv).
ReplyDeleteHi Jill,
ReplyDeleteYes, I know so well about the kids growing up and leaving the nest. I have been blessed with being able to see them all the time even though they are out of the house. Our family is very close, and we make an effort to get together as much as we can. I think that is the most wonderful resolution of all that you made. And how special you are to understand how important it is to make every day count...that is a grateful heart, my friend.
