Girl Friday

I hope everyone has a fun filled weekend ahead. Tonight, Dr Beautiful and I have another black tie event. This is my shamless plug for the hubs, 2 years ago at this event he was awarded "Dr. of the Year"...Saturday night, a much needed night out with one my friends...
Sunday afternoon...
Sunday night we are headed to my sister's house for my nephew's 3rd birthday dinner...

Party Time

Today I am throwing a different kid of party for my girlfriends. I usually do a dinner/cocktail party but this year I was in the mood to mix things up. This morning I am meeting my girls at a local florist...we will each choose an array flowers...
and we will all be taught how to create a centerpiece
everyone will make an original design....
they will take home...

In addition to making arrangements, we will be sipping coffee...and mimosas...
and munching on some breakfast treats...

I would love to make something like this for my table!
Today is just a little way to let my friends know that I love them. And if my blogger friends lived here, you would so be invited too!!

Spring Break

We spent last week in Orlando, Florida at the Grand Cypress Resort and had a fantastic time. Since our vacation was centered around golf for the boys and pool time, we left Scarlett at home with grandma and grandpa where we knew she would be much happier! We had a villa on the golf course, Dr Beautiful was super excited for our view...
and I was super excited for the great outlet mall about 1 mile from our resort...
we spent a day at the Arnold Palmer Bay Hills golf tournament

Matthew was so excited to meet some famous golfers...

and we had the chance watch a commercial being filmed for Nike...

We just did Disney about 2 years ago so we decided to go to Universal one day, the kids were so excited to go...

our favorite ride was hands down Harry Potter..

Every night we had the perfect view of the fireworks at Disneyworld from our patio...

One night, we ventured to Downtown Disney were there was a 100 foot loch ness monster made entirely of legos...
Everyone had a great time lounging by the pool....
climbing the rock wall...
taking the boats out on the lake, if you didn't mind a few alligators...
and just hanging out...
our last beautiful sunset...
another great vacation to go down in the books!!

Spring Fever

The official start to Spring, a week in Florida, and the unseasonably warm weather we have had in the Mid-West, has made me more than ready for Spring and everything that is on trend...

I must admit, for a fraction of the cost, I got a pair from Target that not only do I love, I also get many inquiries as to where I got them...

the high/low pleated skirt, LOVE...

I wore a high/low maxi dress one night to dinner, this is the only picture of the night, but all I can say is that I LOVED walking around in this dress. I felt like I had a train, but without anything dragging on the ground. This is one trend I am super excited for...
Initially, I was not sure if I was on board for the floral jeans/pants, but now after seeing so many different ways to style the pants, I am smitten...

Going Green

Since we will be out of town this year on St. Patty's Day, I thought I would do an early post of my favorite things that are green (with a little help from pinterest)...
