I know it is not New York or Paris, but tonight there is a St. Louis fashion show...Many local boutiques will be featured at tonights event. I am grabbing my girls and heading downtown for a night of fashion, friends...and some late night cocktails.
I feel like a single gal again...heading downtown on a Thursday night!!

I need an assistant!

In addition to packing for my trip, and getting my house and kids ready for a stay with grandma, I have one more big event this weekend....

My daughters First Communion. The dress is bought, the rosary has been made, our family banner is complete, invitations for the party afterwards have been sent, and we have hair appointments Saturday morning.
Of course I still have a lot that needs to be done!

Clean up my yard and plant some flowers..
make a beautiful floral centerpiece...
and make my house girly and pretty....
I need to assemble the goody bags...
make a signature cocktail...
pick up a honey baked ham....make tea sandwiches and other appetizers (still deciding!) ....

and for dessert, run to the bakery to pick up cupcakes...
and French macaroons. I am really going to be ready for a vacation come Sunday morning!!

Kate Spade has come out with some very cute and very whimsical accessories for the spring.

Enchantment Under the Sea coin purse. I can't think of a better, or cuter way to hold my money. This coin purse just screams "I am summering at the beach." or maybe "I'll have another skinny girl margarita!"

And of course, if you are at the beach you need the Straw Sunglasses Hat. If you are going to protect yourself from the harmful UV rays, do it with a little pizzazz and a little styleAnd here is the oh so cute winter version of her hat!
The coin purse and straw hat would be just perfect for a surprise tropical vacation, hmmmm!

Start Packing!!

In 6 days I will be off for my big surprise birthday trip!

I was told to get the passports out of the safety deposit box and I was given some guidelines from Dr. Beautiful on how to pack.

1. European big city trip

2. Tropical resort trip

3. Wine country

Oh how I wish I had these to pack all my clothes in.....
Enough day dreaming!!!!
I am so excited and I truly have no idea where we are going. Once we get to the airport Sunday morning I will finally know where we are spending the week.

That was fast!

I really cannot believe that Easter is on Sunday. I have been so preoccupied with the party we threw last weekend, and Libby's first communion in a couple of weeks that I guess I overlooked Easter.

First up, I have got to finish up the Easter baskets. I really try not to fill the baskets with everything chocolate, instead I like to get books and toys.
When I was growing up my mother would spend weeks upon weeks picking out our Easter outfits. We (and I was 1 of 5) would all wear matching colors, the girls would have the hats, gloves and white straw handbags, and my dad and brother would have matching ties and ascots. Who has that kind of time these days?! I am hoping to find smocked dresses for my girls. I am loving this....

For Matthew, this is something that I had in mind.Unfortunately there is no time. I have to find something that is in stock. Keep your fingers crossed they will have this outfit!!

This is a possibility for me to wear. I bought this dress a couple of weeks ago when I saw it on the rack and swear I heard it whisper "buy me", at least I have something to wear. And wouldn't those Louboutins on my wish list be just perfect with this dress!!
Tonight, we will dye our eggs for the bunny to hide. (I must remember to go to the grocery store today)
This year we will be having Easter dinner at my parents house. I am bringing an appetizer and a side dish, pineapple casserole. I know, it does not sound too appetizing, but it is the perfect side dish with ham and it just so Springy.
Looks like I have my work cut out for me today!

My original girl crush is the beautiful Molly Sims.I don't know if it is her absolutely flawless face
or her hair.
but either way, every time I go in for a haircut, I have a photo of Molly just hoping to come out looking somewhat like her.
She has gone from supermodel, to actress, to jewelry designer. Molly has a pop up shop in Henri Bendels in NYC. If you are lucky to live near by, you can find...
