Tonight I am hitting the town with my girls.  My hubby has nicknamed us The Fabulous Four and I am just fine with that name

The 4 of us like to go out at least once a month and paint the town red.

Tonight we are going to dinner...

this place is described as "a dive bar done right"

the icing on the cake, we can also get our fortunes told.  

I think the hubby was trying to spook me, he told me about a book he is reading right now and it is freaking him out...

according to this book, subjecting yourself to mystical figures (mediums, magicians, fortune tellers etc) opens you up to possession.

So now I am a little spooked, I think it would be fun to hear my fortune but I really don't have time to be possessed;)  I think whether I do this or not will ultimately boil down to how many cocktails I have had.  Cheers!!

Beauty Buzz

Whenever I learn a great beauty tip I love to pass it along.  Today I am passing along my latest and greatest find.  A couple weeks ago I was with my tennis girls and we were discussing beauty products when 2 of my friends ranted and raved about a skin care line they both use and love..

I had never heard of the line Acure but they swore it was as good as the La Mer line at a fraction of the cost.  So of course the next day I raced to Whole Foods, (I know when I think of buying my skin care line at the same place I buy chicken... ick) and decided what the hell I will try this.  I decided to go whole hog, I bought


the cleanser....

the scrub...

the day cream...

and the night cream,
which is my favorite.  I wake up feeling like my face has tightened up yet it is still hydrated.

I think you have to try a lot of products before you find the one that works with your skin.  Would I recommend this product, absolutely,  but what sealed the deal for me was when my sister asked if I had done something different to my face, like botox.

Scenes from the Weekend

It was a beautiful weekend here, temperatures were in the 70's and the sun was shining.  What more could a girl ask for??

My Friday looked something like this...

And this is my favorite way to start the weekend.  Everyone else in the city had the same idea, finding a table anywhere outside was almost impossible.

Saturday night we went to the "supper club" restaurant and I loved it.

The entire concept they called "open" for example when we walked in there was a farm table that seated 10 people, 5 on each side.  There were already 6 people seated so that left 4 empty seats.  The hubby and I were seated at this farm table then 2 minutes later another couple was seated on the end.  We were nestled between strangers but we were all at the same table.  It actually reminded me of being in Paris, that is how the restaurants work over there.  We made small talk with our neighbors but the hubby said he felt like he needed to talk about interesting things in case anyone was listening.  (umm I was listening to what the couple next to me was talking about, they are going to New Orleans next weekend)

The restaurant was dark and cozy...  (great for romantic date night, bad for pic's)

and the food was delicious...

They are closing May 5 then will reopen in June as a Lebanese restaurant, I met the chef who told me that he is so excited for his new pop up.  He is a meat and potatoes kind of guy but the Lebanese cuisine is out of this world.

Sunday was another beautiful day which we spent at the park...

and today there is an excitement in the city...

It's home opener for these guys!!

Girl Friday

I am a total foodie so I love it when I have a weekend planned with an unforgettable meal.

There is a chef here in STL that is capitalizing on the whole underground dining concept.  He bought an old restaurant space downtown and started his own dining club.  It is kind of like joining birchbox or pinterest, but you also fill out a questionnaire, then you wait and wait and wait.  After weeks of waiting I finally got the invite.  You need this invite to make reservations and his restaurant theme changes about 3 to 4 times a year so you need to act quickly.

This pop up and chef has been interviewed for just about every STL publication there is and he has been featured on STL Today.  This weekend I am finally going to his current pop up and just in time.  His current restaurant "AGood Man is Hard to Find" is only open for another 2 weeks, then in June he will debut an entirely new concept.

I love it when someone takes a leap of faith and it works out, that's what makes life grand!!

Saving For A Rainy Day

For the past year I have been saving my Nordstrom notes and asking for Nordy gift cards for my birthday/Christmas/whatever the celebration that involves gifts.

Why??

Well I have had my eye on something that I absolutely would never spend my own hard earned money on....

The burberry trench for $1195.00

That is an absurd amount of money for a trench coat, however if I can use other people's money and reward points I am all over this!! ;)

I am halfway there, good thing I have a birthday in June

Spring Obsessions

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Ours was low key and quiet, perfect for me after our last couple weeks of craziness.  

I am officially obsessing over sunny days and warm nights, walking in the park and dining al fresco.  A few things I came across over the weekend would be the perfect addition to any girls spring dreaming.

Bauble Bar nails it, I love how they get creative with the layering of necklaces.  I literally go to the website everyday to see what new creations they have come up with.

My favorite piece just arrived yesterday...

This couple is so cute they just make me sick.  I am obsessed with everything she wears

and my latest obsession is this song.  My parents had this playing during Easter dinner and I just can't get enough of this.  This song just makes me feel good!!
