A Perfect Day

Saturday was a perfect day. I had a date with my favorite 11 year old.We put on our Xavier shirts and headed downtown to watch my Xavier Musketeers beat St. Louis University in basketball.
We ended our date with some Dogtown pepperoni pizza.
He's such the ladies man!!!

Sneak Peak

My friend Kim and I have this little joke that if you ever want anything to get done in your house, send out an invitation. Nothing motivates me more than knowing I will be entertaining. I knew that we would be having 2 parties in our home in April, so it was time to work on our dining room. The invitations for our first party went out on Wednesday, so Thursday morning at 7 am my wallpaper guy was knocking on my door ready to hang some paper.

Next Saturday I am running the St. Pats Run with my friend Mollie. Today on my list of things to do is to stop by lululemon for a cute new outfit for the race. (I swear, contrary to what my hubby thinks, I did not sign up for this race just to get a new outfit!!) Anyone who wears lululemon swears by it, including myself. I don't know what they put in their pants but you really feel 10 pounds smaller.

The Groove Pants are by far my favorite, perfect for running or for running around town.

Tonight there is a BINGO fundraiser at my kid's school. I am going to grab my girlfriendsand head on out for a night of wild, crazy fun!!

Party Season

During the month of April, we will be hosting 2 parties at our house. The first party is a couples shower for some friends that are getting married in June. I scour the internet for hours looking for creative ideas, decorations and food. The theme of the night is "Italian Honeymoon" we will be serving passed Italian hor d'oeuvers, chianti, gelato, and the goody gift is a box of Italian wedding cookies. For flowers, I was thinking of staying with an all white center piece and I love the idea of filling my room with white helium balloons.
Our second party is my daughters first communion party. This party will be an afternoon party with families. We will be serving a light dinner about 4 pm. My daughter is very girly girly so I am going with pink...pink flowers, pink decorations, pink cupcakes, and pink champagne!!I know there are some fabulous party planners out there, so if anyone has any ideas...send them my way!!
