Surprise!!

I love waking up and seeing that Kate Spade has another surprise sale.  The good news, great markdowns.  The bad news, most of this will be sold out before noon!!

I love a cute clutch, for some reason I tend to use a clutch Friday and Saturday nights in the summer.  Maybe it's the heat and I don't want a strap hanging off me, maybe it's because I tend to have extra large purses and they just seem too big and heavy for the summer, maybe there is no reason at all, maybe as the husband says I just need some excuse to buy another purse....

I always have some jewelry pieces on hand in case I need an emergency birthday gift for a friend, or an emergency accessory dilemma for myself...

The Hunt for the Perfect Clutch

I have been to see a chiropractor twice this past week with dull, chronic lower back pain.  I had my very first adjustment (totally recommend that) and some electrolysis.  Something is working because my back feels so much better.  I have been trying to figure out what is causing my pain and one possibility is my purse.  I LOVE big purses, I mean the bigger the better and I stuff my purses with everything but the kitchen sink.  I must admit when I am walking around with my 10 pound purse I start to feel it,  and I am thinking this is not helping my back at all.

When I go out on the weekends I usually trade in my big bag for a clutch.  Not only does this give my back a break but I think a clutch is the perfect touch of fancy for a night out.  The other day I took my daughter to Forever 21 and I ended up buying the cutest clutch ever, only drawback... your contents have to be cute.

so now I am on the hunt for some cute clutches, for medical reasons of course...

doctors orders, I have to stop carrying a heavy bag!!

Every September I have pangs of jealousy for all those lucky girls that are in New York City for fashion week.  Until I have the opportunity to go, the internet will have to fill the void and fill me in on what is going to be hot. It seems obvious to me, from all the street style shots, that on every girl's must have list should be a fabulous and maybe even quirky clutch...

Little Black Clutch

I have an auction in a couple of weeks to benefit my children's school. This event happens every other year and is one of my favorite nights. I am a big fan of auctions, it is a great alternative to raise funds instead of just asking for money. Anyway, this event is always held in a hotel ballroom and this year the theme is "Roll Out The Red Carpet." With that being said, I started thinking about my outfit. I am pretty sure I am wearing a black strapless, simple dress. My outfit needs a little something so that is where the jewelry and accessories come in. I was in Nordstrom yesterday and stopped in my tracks when I saw the most perfect clutch..
What I love about this clutch is that the gold rope chain is actually about 4 feet long, so you wrap it around the clutch about 3 times to close it. How crazy is that!!

My store was completely out of black, but my friendly sales girls took care of me and my clutch should be here in plenty of time for the big night.Now I just need to find some earrings...
