Big Weekend

This is a big weekend here, the hubs and I have our anniversary on Sunday,  his birthday is Monday, and then we have father's day in about a week.  I have got to step up my game in terms of gift giving. I have a few ideas....

2 of my children need laptops for school next year, of course the hubs has decided that he needs one too.  I wonder if Apple will give me a discount if I go in and buy 3 airbooks  at once??  Doubt it, and I don't even want to think what that bill will be!!

Don't get me wrong, I would love a new pair a shoes or a handbag for an anniversary gift but we are at the point where we either buy something for our house or plan a trip just the 2 of us.  For as long as I have know my hubs,  he has always wanted to go to Half Moon Bay right outside San Fran.  I would love a new runner on my stairs but I think California might be calling my name

My weekend was nonstop activity, but those always make the best weekends!!  Friday night we celebrated my dad and the 70 years he has been on this earth.

Saturday morning we were up and out the door to watch my son's team come in 1st place at the golf tournament

then it was off the celebrate the hubby's birthday at our stay cation

Needless to say we came home on Sunday exhausted from our nonstop activity.  The hubs had to spend his father's day working, that is just one of the many many things that makes him a great father/husband

Girl Friday, Dr Beautiful Edition

This is a big weekend for the hubs!

Today is our wedding anniversary...

 and we are celebrating by throwing a dinner party for my dad's birthday and having my sister come to town.  I am really excited about how my deck looks, the hubs did a great job hanging my white lights, love them!!  

Tomorrow is Dr. Beautiful's birthday...

I have a nice little day planned for him..

Then off to the golf course.  My son is playing in a golf tournament Saturday, he is currently ranked in the top 8 of 13 year old boys across STL.  He tees off at 9 am

After his match, we are heading downtown with my sisters and their hubbies for a little in-town overnight.  We are checking into my favorite hotel....

and we should be pool side by noon...

Saturday night, a little birthday dinner at a new restaurant right around the corner from our hotel...

then on Sunday it is father's day...

Dr. Beautiful actually has to work on Sunday so I will spend the day with my sisters hanging out with my dad, then bring the hubs favorite dinner up to the hospital...

Girl Thursday

My weekend officially starts today, mine and Dr Beautiful's anniversary.  Every morning I wake up and realize I am one lucky girl to be married to a man who wants nothing but happiness for me.  Tonight I want to spoil the hubs....

A romantic dinner at our favorite restaurant...

and then a night away from the kiddos at our favorite spot...

Friday, is Dr Beautiful's birthday...

he is taking the day off work so our plan is to sleep in, enjoy breakfast...

and spend the afternoon here before we head home....

we have the tradition of getting fondue with the kids on hubby's birthday, no idea how this started but I am up for anything dipped in cheese...

then home for cake and presents...

Saturday night, cocktails with friends...

Sunday, for father's day, Dr Beautiful will be off with his friends playing golf...

while the kids and I will be home preparing his favorite dinner...

this is a big weekend for my guy!!

Stay-cation

I am lucky enough that my parents live here in STL and they love to take my kids on overnights. Because of this, the hubs and I were able to have a little stay-cation last week for our anniversary and his birthday. We got downtown, checked in, and headed to the restaurant for some cocktails and dinner....

After a late night at the casino, we woke up and it was hubs big day!!
which we spent dining poolside....
and lounging....

which was exactly what he wanted to do on his day off!

Big Night Out

On June 14th, I was lucky enough to marry this man. Today will always be one of the happiest days of my life. I knew the first time we met that I would marry him. June 15th also happens to be his birthday. I hate that his birthday is the day after our anniversary, but when we were engaged, we planned our wedding between the end of med school and the start of residency. That left us with 3 weeks in June. This year I want to make sure we really celebrate both so I have a surprise planned for him.
While the kids are at grandma's house, we are heading downtown to stay at a hotel..

There is a casino next door, we might wander over and see if we have any "lady luck" tonight.
and late night cocktails on the rooftop bar.
Tomorrow, it is all about the birthday boy. We plan to celebrate with..

breakfast on the patio...and lounging poolside all afternoon...
then back to reality!!
