Girls Getaway

Sometimes the perfect get away is to grab your girlfriends, get in your car and go...

We made it to our beautiful destination in record time...

First on the agenda, a celebratory cocktail...

at this point we were just being silly and giving everyone cat heads...

and a 2 AM birthday cake for our friend at the only open diner...

Saturday we hit the spa...

rode some horses...

and Saturday night we found ourselves parked at the bar all night long with our new best friend the bartender...

The perfect girls weekend

Today I am off with my girlfriends for a long awaited weekend of pampering and overindulgence. I read an article in Mid-West Living months ago about the top 10 spas across the USA, number 7 on the list was French Lick Spa in French Lick Indiana. I immediately put this on my list of "places to go" the fact that this top rated resort is only a 3 hour car ride from STL made it even more enticing.

Not that I ever need an excuse to go to a spa, but we will be celebrating my friends birthday/divorce/new life....

and we will be celebrating in style...

Our timing is perfect, tonight at 5 PM is the lighting of the Christmas tree...

then we are off for a wine tasting...

then onto some late night munchies as we listen to jazz in the atrium...

Saturday we will be spending the majority of the day here...

and here...

then a 2 hour sunset trail ride...

after the trail ride, our fancy birthday dinner...

then onto the casino...

and some late night dancing at the club...

I am super excited to check this resort out, in addition to being a great girls getaway it is also perfect for families. They have a beautiful golf course...
