Friday afternoon, I called one of my friends and had her, her hubby, and 2 girls come over Friday night for pizza and wine.
Lucky for me my friend is a huge champagne drinker, so she also came with a bottle of bubbly!
Saturday, Dan and I had dinner reservations, just the 2 of us, at one of my favorite French restaurants. As the day went on, we kept inviting more and more friends to join us. By 10pm, there were 10 of us dining on pomme frites, les escargots, les salades, et les fromages.
I think the last minute plans always turn out to be the best!! An unexpected night!!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Wine plus pizza is the best combo! We have a smoker too and it makes incredible ribs!

It's funny because my mister has been talking about buying a smoker and learning how to smoke - food, of course (Our neighbor is a master. I think he's jealous! LOL...not really!)!

ReplyDeleteRich's friend Danny has a huge smoker for the bar and it always smoking ribs and pork. I love that little individual smoker. I'm going to remember that for future presents!

ReplyDeleteHey that sounds like a fantastic weekend to me! I like weekends where you lay low and aren't running around with your head cut off which is what we are usually doing! Dinner for 2- if only! Can you come babysit for us? LOL!
